If there any Brava Server Errors with Brava the issue could be related to new mime types that need to be added to the Brava Server Properties File. In order to fix the issue please follow the steps below,

  1. Click on the Server name in IIS and select Mime Types in the center and click the Add link in upper right hand corner.  Add .jb2 as the file extension and image/jpeg and click OK.
  2. Open the Brava server.properties file and add ,jb2 to the end of the DRW drawing extensions list and save your changes.
  3. Do step 1 and 2 again for .jp2
  4. Restart the Apache Tomcat server service.
  5. Perform an IISRESET on the IIS server.

If the Brava ActiveX Viewer is slid all the way to the right so that the changemarks panel is out of view, the next time the viewer is opened, the panel will open and appear to close again. If you are experiencing this issue, the solution is to manually resize the window until it is against the right side of the viewer display, do not use the arrow button located in the panel. The next time you open the viewer, it will be back to the expected view.

Problem: Some characters in my localized version of Brava HTML viewer do not display correctly.

Solution: When running Brava HTML on a non-English system, the server locale setting needs to be set to American English since some European languages use a comma as the decimal separator which is not supported in SVG. To do this:

1. On the Server serving up the HTML pages for the Brava HTML viewer, open the Control Panel.

2. Select Region and Language, then click the Administrative tab.

3. Click Change system locale, and on the Region and Language settings dialog, select English (United States).

4. Click OK to close through the dialogs and save your settings.

Lately we have been seeing some “Invalid server license errors” when trying to view files in non-Internet Explorer browsers. Below is a list of recommendations in order to fix these problems.

  •          Applicable to ProjectDox 8.3 and greater - Make sure there are no spaces in your license keys for both Brava Server and Brava Enterprise Client License, located in IGCKey.lic file on the web server. Move your cursor to the end of the key, click the right arrow button and if it does not go to the next line, then it means you have an extra space and it must be deleted (can be done by simply hitting backspace). The new Salesforce license system adds the extra space when copying so it is important to check this every time you copy a new license.
  •          Applicable to ProjectDox 8.3 and greater - After modifying, editing, or replacing the license you must reboot the web server in order for the changes to take effect. First, stop the Job Processor services, then stop Brava service(s), delete DLCache, reboot the web server. Once the web server is up, start the Job Processor service and test viewing files in non-IE browsers again.

Problem: Some markups templates created in earlier versions of Brava ActiveX viewer do not work properly in Brava HTML viewer.

Solution:This is a markup compatibility issue. Existing stamp templates which contain raster images (created in previous Brava ActiveX versions using the insert image tool) will need to be re-saved in a 7.2 or higher ActiveX viewer before the HTML Viewer 3.15 or later will be able to use them.

When encountering sporadic batch stamping issues it could be due to the URL length being too long. To remedy this, please follow the steps below:

1)     Click the Virtual Directory folder.

2)     Open up the Configuration Editor.

3)     Select system.web/httpRuntime from the dropdown.

4)     Update the maxUrlLength to 500 characters.

5)     Once changes are made, select the Apply action button.

Although our ProjectDox platform is not tied to operating systems, it is supported on certain browsers. Please see our System Use Guide documents for further information on what browsers are supported by which version of ProjectDox. At this time, the Edge browser in the Windows 10 OS is not supported. For the optimal ProjectDox experience, please use Internet Explorer 11.
